PDR is quicker, more efficient, and usually less expensive than traditional repairs performed by a body shop. Dents are either pushed out from behind using specialized tools or pulled using specialized glue. There is no filler or painting involved, so most repairs can be done in a matter of hours.

Traditional dent repair performed by a body shop usually consists of adding filler over a dent, sanding the filler, and painting.  Over time that filler may shrink or crack, causing the paint to crack.  The risk of new paint not matching factory paint during a traditional repair is high.  The average time needed for a body shop repair is 4-5 days.
